Making new friends leads this retired guide dog to Journey Fosters Niagara and back to her new adoptive family.
On Valentine's Day, 2024, we were called to an address in St Catharines to scan a dog that wandered into the resident’s backyard.
She had a microchip, so we contacted the numbers on file. Unfortunately, the owner’s phone numbers were not updated, so we were unable to get a hold of them. BUT! There was one more phone number on file and it was with an Ontario guide dog foundation. Turns out this sweet, older gal was a retired guide dog who had been adopted by a new family.
The gentleman at this Ontario Guide Dog Foundation was able to find the owner's current information in their files. We contacted them, and they came to pick her up. It was a lovely reunion to watch.
